LightScalpel CO2 Laser

LightScalpel was introduced in the early 1990s as the first soft-tissue surgical CO2 laser. It was designed for the small medical and dental offices. Since that time, LightScalpel has been improved in various ways, including handpieces, serviceability, laser pulsing, and system integration.

LightScalpel lasers are used in a variety of dental procedures including:

  • Vestibuloplasty
  • Frenectomy
  • Gingivoplasty
  • Gingivectomy
  • Soft-tissue crown lengthening
  • Treatment of aphthous and herpetic lesions
  • Biopsies
  • Fibroma removal

This technology employs a hollow waveguide flexible fiber delivery system, which means the dentist can move the handpiece around without restrictions. The all-metal, air-cooled tubes are durable and long-lasting, which reduces maintenance costs. The 10,600 nm wavelength laser offers maximum precision.

iTero Digital Scanner

The iTero digital intraoral scanner is used to create 3D images of a patient’s mouth within minutes. The scans produced are more detailed than 2D images. This allows the dentist to create an accurate physical model for restorative work such as dental implants, veneers, and crowns. It also helps with the fabrication of nightguards and Invisalign aligners.

The software integrates well with the scanners; the files can be shared with other dental professionals and third parties. Patient outcomes are improved when everyone involved in the patient’s care has access to the scans.

The wand is placed in the patient’s mouth and captures thousands of scans per second, which creates a 3D representation. The wand is much smaller than earlier models, which means it’s much easier to scan the molars in the back of the mouth, and dentists are not limited to how wide the patient can open their mouth. In addition, the smaller wand means that it is less likely to trigger the patient’s gag reflex.

NOMAD Pro 2

NOMAD Pro 2 is a portable, handheld x-ray device that has improved the way intraoral x-rays are taken. It is the perfect choice for all types of dental offices since it is lightweight and has an extended battery life. This device allows the dentist to take x-rays chairside instead of having to leave the room, which makes treatment smoother and reduces treatment time. Plus, since the device is so versatile, it can be used for any other imaging needs.

Since walls, cabinets, and other space obstacles are not required, you can create an open, comfortable, and efficient workspace. You don’t have to design your office layout around your imaging equipment. Plus, it is perfect for treating a variety of patients from pediatrics to seniors, and everyone in between, including those with special needs.

Schick 33 Sirona

The Schick 33 Sirona is a digital scanner that is used to diagnose tooth decay and other dental issues. The sensors are placed in the mouth to create high-quality images to support a precise, accurate diagnosis and treatment plan. The benefits of Schick 33 Sirona include:

  • Instant high-quality images: the detail and resolution of the images are unprecedented.
  • Multiple size options: the device has 3 different sensor sizes, cable lengths, and many capabilities for enhancement to suit the needs and preferences of the patient.
  • Chairside imaging: due to the portability of the Schick 33 Sirona, the dentist doesn’t have to leave the room to take x-rays, everything can be done in one place.

 

Cephalometric

A cephalometric x-ray, or ceph, is a type of x-ray used to plan orthodontic treatment. The images are typically taken during the consultation appointment. This imaging is also used by ENT providers to diagnose and treat disorders such as sleep apnea.

This type of x-ray shows a side view of the head, including teeth, jaw, and other structures and has been deemed useful and necessary for diagnosing and treating a variety of conditions such as:

  • Impacted teeth
  • Orthodontic issues
  • Temporomandibular joint (TMJ) issues
  • Broken teeth/jaw
  • Jaw position
  • Problems with the airway
  • Some cancers

This type of x-ray uses a lot of the same technology used by standard x-rays with some differences. The images are taken from outside of the mouth and do not usually require you to bite down on anything, and the field of view is much larger than standard images, allowing for improved care.

Sprintray

The popularity of cosmetic dentistry is at an all-time high. Two of the most popular cosmetic treatments are teeth whitening and teeth straightening. Unfortunately, whitening trays are usually one-size-fits-all and may not always be comfortable. However, SprintRay 3D printer changes all that. This technology allows us to take images of the patient’s mouth to create custom-fitted whitening trays, as well as clear aligners for orthodontic treatment.
